General Information
8:30 is when the educational days starts with whole group with a rotation of story, meditation, movement, music and setting the tone for the day. The educational day will include introductions to sign language, Spanish, the arts, music, gross motor activities, outdoor exploration, and much more. The foundational academic skills will be imbedded in all we do. The students will learn as they play and explore. All activities will be intentionally aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Pick up and drop off times are times for children to work on social skills with their peers and participate in open centers.
All programs will be based on the core Christian values of kindness, respect, thankfulness, and service.
Pre-K Information
Our Pre-K program is designed for students who will be transitioning to Kindergarten in the Fall 2022. This program will include aspects outlined above and more. This program will include many adventures around the community that correlate with our units of learning. The curriculum will be student led and be immersed with the arts. This program will also include an introduction to the fundamentals skills and knowledge of a sport each quarter of school. You can think of this as their gross motor time and also a program of the quality that you would typically enroll a child in during after school hours.
We plan to offer the kids many authentic, purposeful activities and experiences to explore. We are conscious and knowledgeable of the cognitive abilities of a 4-5 year old brain and what is appropriate at this age, as to not overwhelm or exhaust the child.
